Cortaflex® HA Regular Powder is a proven blend of key compounds with low sugar content, making it suitable for horses and ponies prone to laminitis. It contains collagen, hyaluronic acid, trace elements, and amino acids that provide essential nutritional support for maintaining healthy cartilage and joint fluid. Cartilage is a spongy, elastic material that covers the ends of bones within the joint, acting as a key shock absorber and helping reduce friction. Synovial (joint) fluid should be thick and viscous to bathe and lubricate the joint and serve as a vital shock absorber.

Key Ingredients:

• Collagen – One of the most abundant proteins in the body, providing a structural framework for cartilage, giving it strength and elasticity. We proudly use a sustainable and ethical source of marine collagen.

• Hyaluronic Acid – A key compound called a glycosaminoglycan (GAG) that helps maintain joint fluid viscosity, lubricates cartilage, and acts as a shock absorber.

• Amino Acids – Provide nutritional building blocks for the production of aminosaccharides. The most well-known is glucosamine, an essential subunit for creating glycosaminoglycans (GAGs) that bind to collagen to strengthen and stabilize cartilage.

• MSM – A natural, bioavailable form of sulfur, a key mineral for bonding compounds in cartilage to increase strength, while also supporting the horse’s natural anti-inflammatory processes.
